KASTAMONU company was established in 1969 as the part of HAYAT holding. At the moment KASTAMONU has 8 plants in Turkey, plants in Romania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegowina, Russia. It’s nearly 4 mln m² of open and 0.9 mln m² of roofed-in production areas. Annual output of wood boars is 4.55 mln m³ , including 2 mln m³ of MDF and 2.55 mln m³ of wood chip board. KASTAMONU is among top 5 wood processing European companies. It specializes in production of MDF wood board, wood chip board, laminate flooring, locking boards and panels. Its annual turnover in 2014 made $1.4 bln.
Wood processing plant construction project in Tatarstan (Alabuga SEZ) is estimated in $600 mln aggregate investments. Estimated project capacity is 1.8 mln m³ of wood chip board per year, thus the plant will be the biggest in this segment both in Russia and in Europe.
