Strengthening relations with the People's Republic of China
On November 8, during a meeting of the secretariats of the national parts of the intergovernmental Russian-Chinese commission on investment cooperation, it became known that Russia and China plan to invest another $1.3 billion in joint projects.

Following the meeting, the participants signed a Memorandum between the departments of the two countries on further strengthening investment cooperation, including in the field of new energy, high-tech sectors of the economy and in the field of infrastructure development.

Strong relations between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Tatarstan have been going on for hundreds of years. The connection between the two republics is not only trade, but also cultural and educational, as early as the beginning of the 19th century, the first department of Chinese literature in Russia was created within the walls of KFU.

Also, the Republic of Tatarstan is distinguished by the best investment climate among the regions of the Russian Federation. It is already planned to open another plant of the Chinese company Haier in Naberezhnye Chelny. A leading Chinese manufacturer of household appliances is building the largest industrial facility in Tatarstan. Foreign investments are planned in the amount of more than $1 billion. The fully launched park will provide 5,000 jobs.
The object occupies an area of almost 130 hectares. A total of 12 factories for the production of washing machines, televisions, freezers and boilers, raw materials, components and stamped parts, as well as a logistics and scientific development center will be built here. Part of the capacity has already been put into operation. Corporations such as HAIER and their project in Tatarstan are an example for other companies. It was this company from the Shandong province that chose Tatarstan not by chance, but because Tatarstan has the best investment climate in Russia. There are tax preferences in the republic, special relations to each investor.

In addition to Haier, the following Chinese companies are implementing their projects in Tatarstan:
- Hawtai Motor Group in cooperation with OJSC KAMAZ, organization of assembly production of Chinese passenger cars in Tatarstan;

China is in the TOP-5 investor countries of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Chinese Consulate General is located in the capital of the region. In addition, the Trade and Economic Representation of the Republic of Tatarstan operates in Beijing.

“There are many niches in our region that Chinese entrepreneurs could invest in today. Now the main share of investments from China is tied to the industrial sector,” said Taliya Minullina.

Also on November 8, the new Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Kazan, Mr. Xiang Bo, visited the Agency. At a meeting with the head of the Agency, Taliya Minullina, the parties discussed all the current areas in which China is already cooperating with Tatarstan, and how much further it can be deepened.

I am sure that with the deepening of the development of Chinese-Russian relations, more and more Chinese companies and enterprises, such as Haier, will come to Russia to invest and develop cooperation with Tatarstan,” said the Consul General of the PRC in Kazan.
