Two Republics, one goal!

Today, in the framework of working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan, the delegation of Razavi Khorasan Province of the Islamic Republic of Iran visited Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.

Taliya Minullina held the presentation of the investment potential of the Republic of Tatarstan. In her welcoming remarks, the Head of the Agency noted: «We had a working visit to Iran in March, last year. We were welcomed with warm hospitality, surprised by the diversity of the Iranian economy. Close cooperation at the regional level is the most important factor in the development of Russian-Iranian trade and economic relations.

In turn, the leader of organization of industry, resources and trade of Razavi Khorasan Province presented the basic sectors of the economy. These are agriculture (wheat, barley, cotton, saffron, grapes, sugar beet, rape plant, tomatoes), food, leather, textile, footwear, automotive, electrical engineering, metallurgical, petrochemical, ceramics industries, energetics, production of building materials, automotive components and silicon, transport, trade, production of oil, gas, turquoise, copper ore, gold and rock salt. Razavi Khorasan Province is the first in Iran in production of five kinds of horticultural products, which includes pear, cherry, plum, saffron and cumin. Special attention is given to tourism and pilgrimage. So, every year Iran hosts 27 million tourists.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed on participation in exhibitions on the territory of Iran and Tatarstan, further work on considering and implementing investment projects for joint implementation and organization of business-missions of Tatarstan’s companies in Razavi Khorasan Province in 2017.

«I am sure, this is the beginning of fruitful work. You already are our investors. You invested your time, having arrived to Tatarstan. I wish your investments paid off,» — Taliya Minullina declared.
