The meeting on the shores of the Arabic Gulf
These pre-New Year days, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov pays a working visit to Dubai, the largest city of United Arab Emirates. The leader of the republic is accompanied by the head of Tatarstan Investment Agency Taliya Minullina.
The delegation visited a theme park-fair "Global Village". It is a unique project at the juncture of different cultures. Last year, the village celebrated its twentieth anniversary and during this period changed location over 4 times for the expansion. On average, the village receives 35 000 visitors every day. During the holidays, the figure increases to 80 000 people. The development of the tourist attractiveness, the growth of entertainment industry are the world trends of economically powerful countries.
The working dinner of the delegation of Tatarstan was held with potential investors, including the owners of the largest funds in UAE. Taliya Minullina invited the colleagues to take part in annual world economic summit “Russia – Islamic world”, held in Kazan in spring.
During the meeting, the areas of cooperation were determined: petrochemistry, agroindustrial complex and hospitality industry, including real estate projects. Currently Tatarstan Investment Development Agency prepares proposals and drafts to submit to Investment Committees of the funds.
Further, the meeting with the Minister of economy of UAE Sultan Al Mansoori is scheduled. "Tatarstan has such warm, friendly relationships with UAE, we are always received at the highest level, but we have almost no result in figures, and, certainly, this is our area of growth, - Taliya Minullina noted. - Today it is important to create a success story, we need to implement 1-2 serious projects to start with".
During the meeting, the head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency pointed out, that it is Tatarstan leading in investment climate in Russia. It is important to build business relationships with countries of the Islamic world, including the United Arab Emirates.
