The first world class showroom in Tatarstan
On December 22, the 6th, concluding this year session of Investor's club of the Republic of Tatarstan was held.
The event was attended by several officials, including the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan Shamil Agheyev, CEO of the SEZ «Alabuga»Timur Shagivaleev, and most importantly - directors of plants and enterprises - investors of Tatarstan.
Before the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the exposition of achievements of Republic of Tatarstan in the sphere of investments, visited workplaces, exhibition and presentation hall, where the film about economy and industrial enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan was demonstrated to the guests on 3D screens. Rustam Minnikhanov positively estimated all the ideas, implemented in presentation hall of the Agency.
"We had an idea to create special site to present investors the opportunities of the republic, tell about our achievements. Now, everything here looks decently and creatively", - the President noted.
In her address, the head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina, speaking on behalf of the staff, thanked the state leaders of the Republic for a new building and exhibition and presentation hall, which is aimed for work with potential investors.
The head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency introduced the members of the "Investors club of the Republic of Tatarstan" and pointed out, that during today's session it is necessary to resume the results of the passing year and to open new prospects for 2017.
In the framework of the meeting the investors made reports on the current state of affairs and the prospects for further development of enterprises on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan.
In particular, the director of "Armstrong Building Products" reported that the company looks into the future with confidence and in 2017 will continue it's work on expansion of the production line. Today the production of the company is supplied to all regions of Russia, as well as CIS countries.
Management representative of the company "Haier Russia" indicated, that the refrigeration manufacturing enterprise in Naberezhnye Chelny works successfully, marked its production growth, the level of implementation of products produced at 90%. Company's products are distributed both to Russian regions and CIS countries. Today, the enterprise in Naberezhnye Chelny produces 22 models of refrigerators. A five-year production output plan has already been developed.
Executive Director of Haier Rus Trading Company Sun Zhenhua also expressed his gratitude to Taliya Minullina for organizing work with investors, in particular, with companies from China. He noted, that one more company from China decided to set up production on the territory of Tatarstan.
During the meeting, CEO of "YIT Kazan" Vladimir Sorokin told about the projects implemented in Tatarstan today. So, four housing complexes are under construction. In 2015, the company commissioned about 15 thousand sq.m. of dwelling space, this year the figures are expected to be about 21 thousand sq.m. In 2017, "YIT Kazan" company plans to construct multi-family residential buildings and to make site improvement on the land plot in Sovetskiy district.
"UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade and Development) in their report on world investment stated that the amount of foreign direct investment in the world was expected to decrease by 10-15% in 2016. However, this did not prevent us from continuing the work on expansion of trade-economic and investment cooperation with foreign investors. For example, in 2015 China's GDP totaled 6,9% and marked the worst result over the past 25 years. But it is worth noting, that this is the year when the first Russian-Chinese non-raw-materials enterprise - "Haier" refrigeration manufacturing plant - was opened in Tatarstan. I express my gratitude to all the investors for the work done and projects implemented together in this challenging year", - Taliya Minullina noted at the end of the meeting.
