Tatarstan brings Innokam to Sochi

From September 29 till October 2, Tatarstan will lead a round of business talks, introduce Innokam project and sign agreements on the International Investment Forum «Sochi 2016».

The stand of the republic will feature some prospective investment projects, including proposals of the main exhibitor Innovative territorial-production cluster «Innokam» which was created with the support of the Russian Government and personal support of Dmitry Medvedev, who signed an order to create the territory of advanced development in Naberezhnye Chelny in June, 2016. Engineering cluster of Tatarstan will show the project for organization of serial production of VIKING all-terrain vehicles with an investment of RUR 506 million, modernization of foundry manufacture, creation of high-technology manufacturing of housing sets on environmentally sound technology «Dual beam» at Sochi Forum.

Tatarstan’s President Rustam Minnikhanov will lead the official delegation of the republic in Sochi. Traditionally, at this important Russian business platform the President will be accompanied by the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, Ms. Taliya Minullina.

During the visit, prepared by Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, the delegation of the republic will take part in a series of panel discussions, plenary session with the participation of the Chairman of the Government Mr. Dmitry Medvedev, State Council Presidium meeting under the President of Russian Federation on strategic development and priority projects. The negotiations with business executives and meetings with representatives of some companies are scheduled.

«We are planning to sign the agreements about intentions on interaction in investment area, — Taliya Minullina said. — This time we will present a number of projects of Nizhnekamsk agglomeration «Innokam», which is marked as a growth point of Russia’s economy for the next ten years. The amount of investments in 60 subprojects of the center is RUR 750 billion. By 2020 the innovation-manufacturing center «Innokam» in Zakamye is planning to produce goods amounting RUR 2 trillion, create 30 thousands of jobs and provide the budget of the republic with additional RUR 200 billion of tax levies.

Innokam is a project of territorial development in Russia. The conception of creating the innovative-production cluster and road-map of its realization was approved and signed by the edict of Russian government. According to conception, «Innokam» center is a territory of intensive industrial development, situated in Nizhnekamsk agglomeration of Tatarstan. Kamsky innovative territorial-production cluster where «Innokam» center is created is one of innovative territorial clusters granted for development from federal budget in the framework of «Economic development and innovative economy» state program. The implementation of the concept will further the creation of unified socio-economic and investment area of Nizhnekamsk agglomeration with a common system of social, transport and engineering services, reduction of environmental risks related to petrochemical specialization of the region, economic diversification growth, including mono-cities economies. Now the concept includes about 80 priority projects. «Innokam» will specialize in oil and gas refining, petrochemistry and automotive industry. It includes «KAMAZ», «Nizhnekamskneftekhim», «TANECO», SEZ «Alabuga», «Tatneft», «Ammoni», «TAIF-NK», «Karpov Chemical Plant» and leading universities of the republic namely KFU, KNRTU-KAI and KNRTU (KCTI), Kazan scientific center of Russian Academy of Sciences and Tatarstan Academy of science.

Enterprises and universities of the cluster are implementing over 100 joint projects now, including creation of electric buses «Electrobuses», new types of polymer synthetic gutta-percha, robot station for metal processing.

Implementation of the concept «Innokam» will enhance the volume of supplied products three times and the amount of gross added value to RUR 1,1 trillion.
