Tatarstan and Turkey: step forward!

These days, the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov pays official working visit to the Turkish capital of Ankara. The leader of the republic is accompanied by the head of Tatarstan Investment Agency Taliya Minullina.

During the working visit a number of business meetings with representatives of business circles was held. Thus, Turkey-Tatarstan forum discussed the prospects for development of trade and economic relations.

The head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina made a presentation on cooperation in the spheres of industry, investment, education, medicine, tourism. «Turkey is our foreign investor leader. We have jointly implemented large-scale investment projects. Taking this opportunity, I would like to thank the Turkish companies for close cooperation. Despite the difficulties, we continue to work in the same direction,» — commented Taliya Minullina.

So, at the meeting with the Chairman of the Board at Hayat Holding Yahya Kiğılı made a decision to launch the second stage of production at Hayat Kimya plant producing tissue paper, which is situated on the territory of special economic zone «Alabuga».

In the framework of negotiations with Board President of Gebze Organised Industrial Zone Vahit Yıldırım the memorandum on the establishment of industrial zone in Sviyazhsky Interregional Multimodal Logistics Center. The project will contribute to the development of transport corridor «Europe — Western China» and will help to unite transport and logistics system with industrial sites.

Taliya Minullina and the management of Turkish corporation KBS signed cooperation agreement. Currently, the Agency is working on localization of production of this company.

In the afternoon the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov will have a meeting with the President of Turkey Recep Erdoğan. In addition, the meetings with Prime Minister of Turkey Binali Yıldırım, Minister of Economy of Turkey Nihat Zeybekci, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Mayor of Ankara İbrahim Melih Gökçek were in the program.
