Tatarstan and the Far East: on the way to new projects

Representatives of the government and business of the Far Eastern Federal District visited the Republic of Tatarstan with a business program. The relations of the regions are rapidly developing today. On the fields of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in June of this year, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and the Agency of the Far East for attracting investments and supporting exports signed a cooperation agreement. Negotiations on the implementation of effective cooperation continued in Kazan.

“Tatarstan takes an active part in events promoting the strengthening of interregional ties. Tatarstan and the Far East have a lot in common, including active territories of advanced development, as well as actively developing relations with the Asian countries. Tatarstan and the Far Eastern regions can find common ground, including sharing experience in attracting foreign investors and developing relations, primarily with China, which is in the top 5 investors in Tatarstan, ”said the head of the Tatarstabn’s Agency Taliya Minullina.

Tatarstan is an innovative region. Peculiarities of Tatarstan’s transition to the digital economy were demonstrated to the guests in the first Russian city for IT specialists by Innopolis, in whose territory a special economic zone with tax privileges and preferences operates. Renat Khalimov, General Director of the Special Economic Zone, also expressed his readiness to provide support in promotion and implementation of business projects in the field of information technology, in conducting forums, seminars and conferences on the development of information and innovation activities.
