Tatarstan and Siemens as an example of partnership relations, as they should be
A meeting between the republic’s authorities with a participation of Ms. Taliya Minullina, the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and Mr. Willi Meixner, Siemens AG CEO of the Power and Gas Division in the House of Government, on August 2.
Issues of mutually beneficial cooperation between Republic of Tatarstan and German transnational concern, operating in the field of electric engineering, electronics, power engineering equipment, transport, medical facilities and lighting technology, as well as customized services in industry, transport and communication were discussed in the course of the meeting. Thus, issues of housing and communal services monitoring, creation of smart power grid in Tatarstan and implementation of energy efficient solutions in general, as well as cooperation with the republic’s universities were touched upon the meeting.
Siemens AG concern has settled in the republic many years ago and is involved in many projects. In December 2012, «Siemens Enterprise Communications» office was opened in Kazan and an Agreement on strategic partnership development and strengthening and mutually beneficial cooperation with Tatarstan Republic was signed. Signing of an agreement on cooperation between the "Siemens«company and Kazan State Power Engineering University took place in 2013. An agreement on the supply of parts for household appliances from the Republic of Tatarstan for the needs of the DSU «Appliances», which is the Russian branch of German concern «BSH Hausgeräte GmbH» was one of the recent events. In republican market the German company’s products in general are represented in such fields as energetics, public health service, petrochemistry and railway service. German concern is interested in train construction for the HSR project «Moscow — Kazan» as well. German company’s Russian branch has already finished trial run of the new engine, which is going to be installed at Russian «Sapsan» fast-speed trains.
Over 160 years Siemens cooperates with Russia successfully. «Relationship between Tatarstan and German concern is an example of partnership relations, as they should be, — commented the last meeting Ms.Taliya Minullina. — „Siemens“ considers Tatarstan republic as an attractive region for further investment. We have great opportunities and long-term intentions».
