Tatarstan and Austria enhance relations
Representatives of Austrian-Russian Friendship Society, headed by Secretary General Florian Stermann, are in Kazan with working visit.
The First Deputy Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Insaf Galiev participated at the meeting between Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with delegation of Austrian-Russian Friendship Society.
Rustam Minnikhanov greeted guests and thanked Austrian leadership for organization of the visit and warm welcome, offered to Tatarstan delegation in Vienna in May 2016.
According to Tatarstan President, increasing and strengthening of contacts between Tatarstan Republic, as a Russian region, and Austria in business, joint enterprises creation, culture, educational exchange and tourism are crucial nowadays.
In the course of the meeting, Florian Stermann, the Secretary General of Austrian-Russian Friendship Society, also expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome, offered in Kazan. He expressed confidence that Tatarstan-Austrian relations will continue to strengthen including entrepreneurship field and business cooperation.
«Just recently our delegation, headed by the President Rustam Minnikhanov, visited Vienna. It was highly productive trip, rich for meetings and negotiations. We met the „Berch“ company, which produces an equipment for powerhouses, agriculture and food industry. Meeting with company producing car cases for fire trucks was also held in the framework of the visit. They expressed an interest in production location within the territory of the republic and would like to establish cooperation with our KAMAZ. Moreover, we met representatives of company, which specializes at engineering and installing of ready-to-operate plants in chemical and petrochemical fields. Recycling technologies, waste utilization and generating of heating energy through incineration of derivative products were discussed with a company, responsible for developer’s projects and wastes recycling. The company expressed an interest in investment to projects of wood conversion, construction, road facilities in Tatarstan and now we are preparing a package of investment proposals» — noted Taliya Minullina. «We can say that Austria is actively renewing relations with Russia through Tatarstan, despite of present sanctions. We are interested in it and will contribute in various ways to our business relations consolidation».
It was decided to create a working group for consideration of concrete issues and directions of interaction.
