Tatarstan and American Chamber of Commerce signed an agreement on cooperation

The delegation of Tatarstan headed by Tatarstan’s President Rustam Minnikhanov is visiting Moscow. The delegation also includes the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, Taliya Minullina and top-managers of resident companies of special economic zones of Tatarstan. The aim of the visit is presentation of the Republic of Tatarstan to American Chamber of Commerce in Russia.

During the event the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, Taliya Minullina, made a presentation of investment potential of the Republic. In particular, she reported that for the second consecutive year Tatarstan is the first in the national rating of investment environment conditions among constituent territories of the Russian Federation. Timur Shagivaleev made a presentation of the special economic zone «Alabuga». The executives of foreign companies which made investments in the region shared their successful experience of leading business in Tatarstan.

The climax of the event was the «Questions and answers» section, where the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov answered and commented a number of different questions. In conclusion, the agreement on cooperation between the American Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan was signed.

It should be said, that today’s meeting became a preparation for the visit of Tatarstan’s delegation to San Francisco, to be held from November 9 till 11, 2016. Let us add, that Tatarstan was one of the first Russian regions to be invited for collaboration with American Chamber of Commerce after three years break.

Despite the sanctions, there are a lot of American companies who are still interested in cooperation with Tatarstan. Today, a number of US companies such as «3М», «Ford Sollers», «Honneywell», «Cummins-КАМА» are working in our Republic. It is yet more proof that the best investment conditions are in the Republic of Tatarstan" — the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina said.
