Taliya Minullina: “Investment relations have their rise in trade relations”

The Kazan Hippodrome hosted the opening ceremony of the Xinjiang Goods Exhibition of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Tatarstan. The government officials and business representatives from both sides attended the ceremony.

Before the ceremony, the People’s Government Deputy Secretary-General of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Wang Pingsen, took a look at the exhibits and evaluated Chinese goods.

At the round table, Mr. Wang Pingsen and Mrs.Taliya Minullina, the Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, said the first words about the significance of the event. Negotiations to strengthen cooperation were held with the participation of Mr. Wu Yingqin, Consul General of the PRC in Kazan, and Mr. Artur Nikolaev, the First Deputy Chairman the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan.

“We are happy to have provinces with which Tatarstan has built partnership relations. Generally speaking, we work with China amiably and efficiently, and not without reason: firstly, the complete political honeymoon, and secondly, the years 2018–2019 are declared the years of interregional cooperation, and Tatarstan actively follows this. It is noteworthy that we have such a fair to open here; this will work to increase turnover. The investment relations have their rise in trade relations. The market makes up the rules, so, at first, we should analyze the demand, and then consider the possibility to locate the production in Tatarstan,” stressed Taliya Minullina.

Mr. Wu Yingqin also emphasized that the level of political and, accordingly, strategic understanding of Russia and China is unprecedentedly high.

The event continued with the trade and economic presentation and B2B meetings. Alongside the Chinese goods and services, the goods of the Russian companies and enterprises aimed at both building cooperation and successfully interacting with China, such as the Kukmor Metal Dishware Plant, are represented at the exhibition.
