Saxony Companies will enter Tatarstan with new investment
Delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan, chaired by the President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Chief Executive Taliya Minullina, is in Germany on an official visit. Tatarstan delegation will visit Saxony and Thuringia in the framework of a three days` working visit.
Program of the working trip supposes official events and business meetings, including meeting with Saxony Premier-minister Mr. Stanislaw Tillich, as well as visiting a number of industrial enterprises of Saxony — producers of automotive equipment components, constructions from composite materials in the fields of mechanic engineering and engineering tools.
The delegation will visit Jena and Weimar, hold the meetings with companies of analytical measuring equipment, optoelectronic system and with The Leibniz Institute of photon technologies. Meeting with the Thuringia`s Prime — minister Mr. Bodo Ramelov, who visited Tatarstan recently, and signing an agreement on cooperation between Tatarstan and Thuringia are planned.
Business forum «Saxony — Tatarstan» was held in Dresden on June 2. Tatarstan Investment Development Agency’s Chief Executive Taliya Minullina pointed out that republic is one of Russia’s fastest growing regions and introduced its industrial and investment potential. In conclusion she wished forum guests to gain new good contacts, because particularly quality is a distinctive feature of partners from Germany.
Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that Tatarstan has a good experience in interaction with Germany. Thus, Saxony Prime-minister Mr.Tillich visited Tatarstan in April 2009. The President expressed his confidence that Tatarstan will host guests from Saxony with reciprocal visit in the nearest future.
«Companies of Germany consider Tatarstan market as attractive and they are ready to enter our republic with new investment for foremost projects implementation,» — said the head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina. In particular, company SARAD GmbH in cooperation with Kazan State Energy university will create the Tatarstan — German engineering center, based in Kazan, in the field of energy efficiency and ecological security. In total there are over 80 enterprises in Tatarstan with foreign investment from Germany and Tatarstan-Germany turnover was more than 1 bln. euro last year«.
It is noteworthy that a number of joint memorandums of cooperation, documents on interaction of economic entities and interuniversity agreements connect Tatarstan and Germany. There is an interaction between Kazan National Research Technical University named after A.N.Tupolev and the Fraunhofer Institute of engineering tools. Joint projects in the field of forestry management are implemented with participation of the Dresden technical university in Tatarstan. Contacts between other enterprises and organizations are maintained.
Such German firms as «Siemens» (communications, energy, equipment leasing); «BASF» (chemical production), «Bosh» (machine manufacturing), KraussMaffei (petrochemistry), Linde (chemistry), Knorr-Bremse (Kamaz components), Voith (automatic transmission), Zahnrad Fabrik (Kamaz transmissions), Saria bio-industries (processing of animal stock materials) and others are working successfully in Tatarstan.
Moreover, such trade networks as Metro, Media Markt, Selgros, Wurth are very popular among citizens of republic. A number of enterprises and banks of Tatarstan have connections with «Dresden — bank», Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank.
