Rustam Minnikhanov chose development of industrial platforms of the republic

Today, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov delivered his traditional address about internal and external situation of the Republic to the deputies of the State Council.

All of Tatarstan’s political elites as well as the top management of the leading enterprises of the republic, religious authorities and representatives of mass media arrived to the session of the State Council to hear the annual address by Rustam Minnikhanov, post-electional this time. The Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, Ms. Taliya Minullina, have also taken part in the event.

Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the President and the Government of Russia for support in the region’s development. He noted, that the achievements of the republic are inextricably linked to development of our country and strengthening of its position on the international stage.

Addressing the attending and the whole people of Tatarstan, the President paid particular attention to the investment development of the Republic.

«Special focus should be placed on the efficient filling of the facilities of all industrial sites of the republic, as well as to work with investors, facing a choice of a suitable region in Russia to set up the production. The key role in these belongs to the Investment Development Agency», — underlined the President of the Republic of Tatarstan speaking on development of industrial platforms of the republic, including special economic zone «Alabuga» and technopolis «Himgrad», both celebrated the tenth anniversary this year, the largest in Europe Kama Industrial Park «Master» and two sites of IT-park.

According to the results of the previous year, output of all residents of the business development infrastructure in the republic totaled in RUR 125 billion, which is 7% of the total amount of industrial production, the President pointed out.

Rustam Minnikhanov also emphasized, that implementation of the project of building the high-speed railway «Moscow-Kazan» will give new impetus to industrial development. It will help the business to build new bonds in, approach the markets of large agglomerations and increase investment attractiveness of Tatarstan.

The positive trends in sustainable social and economic development of the republic, preserving social and political stability, peace and reconciliation provide the opportunity to solve our main taget of improving the quality of life of people, — the President of the Republic of Tatarstan said. — And today, acting as one team, we continue to build the future of our native republic. The key point is that we know what we want and how to achieve it. During his speech, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the citizens of Tatarstan, highlighting that the achievements of the republic are people’s merit.

«An unambiguous focus on attracting investments in President’s address means that today literally everyone should be involved in these processes as much as possible. It was no coincidence in mentioning the increasing role of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency. We are planning to enter the annual board with investment strategy, — Taliya Minullina pointed out. — We are making steady progress in investment in general: in the first half of 2016 capital investment from off-budget sources increased by 102,7% compared with the reporting period of the past year.
