Less than 10 days are left till the VIII International economic summit “Russia – Islamic World: KazanSummit-2016”
A regular meeting of the organizing committee on preparing and holding the VIII International economic summit «Russia — the Islamic world: KazanSummit» was on May 10, 2016.
The summit will be held in Kazan from 19 to 21 May 2016. The aim of the summit is strengthening of trade and economic, scientific-technical, social and cultural relations between Tatarstan and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
The secretary of the organizing committee Taliya Minullina informed of the current situation in preparation for the summit in Kazan. According to her, active phase of registration started: the list of participants increases by an average of 50 people daily. The total number of registered participants has already reached 886 people, and that is 4 times more than in the same period last year. The event went far beyond the regional level and now may be called not only federal, but also international.
" 20 heads of the various diplomatic missions, representatives of 12 countries of the OIC ministries, heads of subjects of Russia (North Ossetia and Ingushetia), 5 deputies of the State Duma, the Federation Council of 6 members will take part in the summit, 20 regions of Russia will be presented in total. A separate delegation of the Islamic Development Bank arrives«, — said Taliya Minullina.
Head of the Agency noted that the general partner of the Summit is Tatneft company, and the main information partner is ITAR-TASS. Also among the partners of the event are Sberbank of Russia, Ak Bars Bank, Tatfondbank and Russian Post.
Each section of the summit was prepared and worked out in cooperation with partner organizations. Among the co-organizers of the sections are Sberbank of Russia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian federation, National Association of the Investment Promotion Agencies (NAAIR), Business Russia, ITAR-TASS and others.
Exhibition will be operating for the summit participants, including exposition of halal food products.
Media center in conjunction with RBC is organized for members of mass media.
