Leading Russian regions presented their investment projects a SPIEF 2016

Large-scale infrastructural projects are to be presented in the northern capital of Russia by the leading Russian regions within three days in the framework of the XX Anniversary St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). Subjects of the Federation will present not only international and federal programs but also regional. It is noteworthy that the SPIEF launched a special exhibition, dedicated just to regional investment projects for the first time in its 20-year history. Moreover, the main focus of this-year SPIEF is investment opportunities of the Russian regions in particular.

More than 40 events with unique investment project’ presentations, with a broad geography from St. Petersburg to North Caucasus were held in the exhibition hall. Driverless buses and driverless bus transportation system, large-scale national projects of infrastructural helicopter development, creation of the first in Russia plant for ecological compostable items production were among noteworthy innovative proposals. Important agreements and memorandums were signed between presentations.

Tatarstan presented an ambitious stand with projects of the KazanExpo International Exhibition and Convention Centre construction, Sviyazhsk Interregional Multi-modal Logistics Hub, «Volga discoveries» family entertainment-educational thematic park, a bridge across Kama river and olefin and olefine-based producing modern large-capacity complex construction.

Taliya Minullina, the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, presented the Republic of Tatarstan as a territory attractive for investment.

«The unique President, the Government’s qualified team, tried-and-tested resources for assigned challenges achievement and investment climate are among unique advantages of Tatarstan,» — noted Taliya Minullina in the course of her performance at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum SPIEF Investment & Business Expo.
