Kamaz trucks and helicopters promote Russia in Zimbabwe

OJSC Tatarstan Export Corporation prepared a national stand of Ministry of industry and trade of Russian Federation in the framework of international industrial exposition ZITF — 2016, which was held in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe on April 26.

The largest Russian enterprises, such as Kazan Helicopters Plant, which is a member of «Russian helicopters» holding, Kamaz, JSC Power Machines, consortium «Elevatorprodmashstroy», an electronic trading platform B2B-Export and others were presented at the stand. Total area of exposition is more than 200 m2.

ZITF exposition has been held since 1960. Its total exhibition space comprises 50 000 m2. More than 700 companies from different industrial sectors annually demonstrate their achievements in transport engineering, agriculture, chemical and food industry, pharmaceutical industry, construction and others. This year the event is held under support of Ministry of industry and trade of Russian Federation, OJSC Tatarstan Export Corporation is operator of Russian Federation. Denis Manturov, minister of industry and trade of Russia, headed Russian delegation in Zimbabwe. He noted that the aim of organization of Russian national stand in the framework of exposition is in expanding Russian- Zimbabwean economic and trade cooperation, as well as in implementation of new perspective investment projects in African continent.

«Look how actively Africa is invested, it is very perspective destination. Tatarstan export volumes to Africa and Russia as a whole are not so big. Thus, export volume in Zimbabwe in 2015 comprised $108, 4 thousand. For example — it is the price of Princess Diana`s dress, sold at auction 4 years ago. Tatarstan produces competitive products, it is necessary not only for large companies but also for medium enterprises to connect to export. We invite our companies to cooperative work,» — comments Taliya Minullina, member of the Board of Directors of OJSC Tatarstan Export Corporation.

During the exposition, from 26 to 30 of April, Zimbabwe President Robert Gabriel Mugabe, Togo’s President Gnassingbe Eyadema, Zimbabwe Vice-Presidents Hor Mnangagwa and Hor R.P.Mphoko, representatives of Zimbabwe Chamber of industry and commerce and other high-ranking delegations from African countries. Tatarstan Kamaz trucks and helicopters have caused a great interest among executives of Zimbabwe Republic. On the closing day, on April 30, details of potential cooperation in the framework of the Russian- Zimbabwean intergovernmental session in the capital of Zimbabwe Harare city are planned to be discussed.
