In Tatarstan, the construction of new Haier plant started

The ceremony of laying the cornerstone of the foundation of Haier washing machine plant took place in Naberezhnye Chelny. The plant will become the first stage of construction of industrial park of Chinese company in Naberezhnye Chelny.

Haier Vice-President Shu Hai, Minister of Economy of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev, Chinese Consul General to Kazan Wu Yingqin, Major of Naberezhnye Chelny Nail Magdeev took part in the ceremony.

It is planned that the production of Haier washing machines will be launched in Tatarstan in 2019. Television production will be opened the second. At the third stage the manufacturing of complex household appliances is planned.

"We are starting the construction of Haier industrial park. Let me remind, that the amount of investment in the project is 1 billion dollars. It is a large project, it will contain 12 plants, and today the construction of washing machine plant was initiated", - the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina commented the launch of the project.

In addition, as Taliya Minullina noted, this year Tatarstan managed to attract another large investor from China to the republic - "Kamastal" plant for production of painted sheet steel, which is located in Advanced development zone of Nizhnekamsk. Here, investment will amount to 400 million rubles.

About 125 hectares of land is designated for industrial park of Chinese Haier. 5 thousand new jobs will be created here.
