Energy efficiency as competitiveness

During  March 14 to 16, the 18th international specialized exhibition "Energy. Resource saving" and 17th international symposium "Resource saving effectiveness and energy saving", proven to be the leading events connected to energy in Russia and CIS take place in Kazan.

Leading experts and experts of energy, industry, housing and communal services, representatives of energy agencies and centers for energy and resource efficiency, scientists and practitioners, who are generally recognized leaders in this field, experts from the Ministries, authorities, committees and departments, heads of administration of the Republic of Tatarstan, regions of the Russian Federation and foreign countries take part in the exhibition.

This year over 140 leading companies from Russia, Belarus, Italy and USA as well as 14 representations of foreign companies from Germany, Israel, Italy, Spain, China, Korea, Poland, Slovenia, USA, the Czech Republic, Sweden and Finland are presenting their achievements.

The largest companies of Tatarstan: JSC "Tatenergo", PJSC "TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin", JSC "Setevaya company", PJSC "Nizhnekamskneftekhim", PJSC "Kazanorgsintez", TAIF-NK PSC, JSC "Kazenergo" and many others will get the participants and the visitors of the exhibition acquainted with innovation technologies, scientific and technical development in energy conservation.

Traditionally, the exhibition is accompanied by eventful business program: scientific and technical conferences, round tables, expert sections, seminars and workshops on the most relevant issues connected with improvement of power efficiency and innovative decisions in energy conservation.

The key activity of the business program was the Meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan "On the progress in implemention the state program "Energy Saving and Increasing Energy Efficiency in the Republic of Tatarstan in 2014-2020" on results of year 2016 and the objectives for the year 2017", where the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina took part.

International Specialized Exhibition "Energy. Resource Saving" and international symposium "Energy supply efficiency and energy conservation" which are held annually in exhibition center, offer a unique opportunity to promote energy-efficient and resource-saving technologies, to develop interregional and international cooperation, to exchange expert opinions of business community, scientists and representatives of federal and regional authorities, whose initiatives and decisions effect directly on further energy sufficiency strategy.

"I would like to note that over the past five years, energy efficiency measures in Russia resulted in savings of about 300 million tonnes of fuel equivalent. Taking into account the predicted economic growth, over the next three years further savings in the same proportion are possible. We need to strengthen the work on energy service contracts in Tatarstan", - Taliya Minullina commented.
