Chinese business intends to work in Tatarstan

On October 13, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency hold the meeting of the head of the Agency Taliya Minullina with the delegation of Chinese companies «Eurexport Holding» headed by its President Azad Sharapov and «Zhouda Group» led by Zhang Wenge. The representatives of the business arrived to explore investment opportunities of the Republic and implementation of shared projects.

During the meeting the guests learned about economic and investment potential of the Republic, watched presentations of industrial parks and special economic zones. The representatives of the companies got acquainted with the history of success of foreign ventures running their entrepreneurial activity in Tatarstan. The parties have also discussed the mechanisms and prospectives of mutually beneficial co-operation.

It should be mentioned that the Republic of Tatarstan is actively cooperating with the People’s Republic of China. Since 2013, over 30 high-level reciprocal visits were conducted between Tatarstan and China. Moreover, this February a fertilizer plant «Ammoni», which was built with direct participation of China National Chemical and Engineering Corporation, was opened in Mendeleevsk. In April, Chinese corporation «Haier» launched the first plant in Russia on production of refrigerators which is the most advanced among the company’s plants at the moment.

Trade and Economic Representative Office of the Republic of Tatarstan is acting in the capital of the Heavenly Empire. It is planned to open the Consulate General of China in Kazan In the nearest future.

Additionally, charter service between Kazan and Chinese city Urumchi was officially launched in early August. This service will stop on October 24, 2016. And on November 1, the delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan will pay an official visit to Shanghai to take part in Russian-Chinese Intergovernmental Commission.
