Agency For Strategic Initiatives Forum on coordination of actions in global challenges
On July 21 to 22, 2016 the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and thousands leaders of changes from all over Russia gathered in Moscow VDNKH for participation in the Strategic Initiatives Forum, dedicated to the conception of long-term social and economic development of the Russian Federation until 2035.
Forum is organized by the Agency For Strategic Initiatives and is aimed at presenting developments in the field of technologies, public administration, investment climate improvement and coordination of activities under the conditions of new global challenges. The Strategy of National technological initiative (long-term program on creation of conceptually new markets, where Russia should become a global leader) was presented in the framework of forum’s business program. On top of everything else, everyone interested was able to check their literacy by participating in the Total dictation and visiting «Lectern-2035», where future professions and tools of lean manufacturing were discussed. Participants also talked about emotional intelligence and methods of leadership skills development and watched a play «Touchable».
One of the main issues discussed in the course of the Forum’s round tables was improvement of conditions, simplification and cost-cutting of conducting business activities, reducing administrative barriers, which hamper the development of business. Thus, it was mentioned, that even now due to the implementation of the National entrepreneurial initiative the number of procedures required for business startup was reduced 3 times and the term of registration of state ownership and shifting it into electronic form — 2 times. The number of procedures required for affiliating an object with the power lines has decreased 2 times. And service, where an entrepreneur can open an account and register a company simultaneously will be available in Russian banks in the nearest time.
Heads of federal and regional authorities, development institutions and governmental companies, successful entrepreneurs and experts took part in the Forum for strategic initiatives. Moreover, the visit of Mr. Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation to the forum, should be particularly underlined. He discussed with participants perspectives of the country’s development until 2035. With the participation of the Head of State, members of the experts council considered a number of new projects that claim for support of the Agency on strategic planning, in three main areas — «New Business», «Young Professionals» and «Social Projects».
«Five years ago, almost five years, experts council of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives gathered for the first time. If memory serves me correctly, somewhere on July 27 we gathered five years ago. The ASI was conceived as a platform where representatives of business and society would come with their problems and their projects so that you would help everyone eager to carry creative activity, to succeed, to implement ones plans and ideas », - noted Vladimir Putin.
The ASI was established in 2011 upon an initiative of Mr.Putin to support for unique socially valuable projects and middle business initiatives. Over these years, the agency has shown decent outcome. It resulted in a measurable reduction of administrative barriers and paperwork and more transparent bureaucratic procedures.

Over the last years the ASI is operating in very important direction including work on improvement of investment climate in Russia, simplification of procedures in doing business, investment infrastructure development, as well as regions investment climate evaluation. It can be stated that it is a driver for positive changes in the Russian regulatory environment shaping — noted Taliya Minullina, the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency. — The republic interacts closely with the Agency for strategic initiatives on many subjects. It is worth mentioning that Tatarstan was selected as a representative office of the Agency in the Volga Federal district, which unites Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod, Orenburg, Samara regions and Bashkortostan, Mari El, Udmurtia and Chuvashia republics. The republic once again ranked first in the investment climate in Russia according to results of the National ranking by the Agency for strategic initiatives.
