Tatarstan concentrate on Chinese kvass

 In the mid-90s, the Soviet distillery, which managed to become a starchy production by that time, was privatized. A few more years later, under the leadership of General Director Albert Prokopyev, the plant was revived to a new life.

"Every second glass of kvass in Russia is produced from our raw materials", - says on the site Tatkrahmalpatok. These are not loud words, but quite a reality. On the Belgian and German equipment purchased with credit funds, the company has achieved a 100% yield of the extract, which significantly reduced the cost of production. Among the buyers of Verkhneuslonsky kvass wort is Novgorod Deca (kvass Nikola), Bochkaryovsky brewery, Vyatich (the same Vyatka kvass), PepsiCo (kvass Russian gift). The export of products is established in the former CIS countries, Poland, Canada, the USA, and even China.

 Today Tatkrahmalpatok produces kvass wort concentrate, extracts of rye and barley malt, maltose molasses - rye and malt. All - from raw materials purchased in Tatarstan and neighboring regions or grown in their fields.

- Growing the right quality rye for dry fermented rye malt (part of kvass wort) was more profitable than buying. We built a malt house with two seedbeds. Today they fully cover our needs. We also have a malt house for green malt production. Our malt extract can be used for beer and whisky production. It is purchased by breweries. Whisky producers did not ask for it, but who knows," Albert Prokopyev told reporters.

 

In rural areas (and Verkhneuslonsky district is exclusively rural, there are no cities except Innopolis), where the scale and speed are smaller than in megacities, the contribution of everyone to the common cause is especially noticeable. Along with opportunities Albert Prokopyev also acquired responsibility - for those who work for Tatkrhamalpatok, for Kuralovo, where many of the plant's almost 140 employees live. Thanks to his initiative, there are good roads, a hotel on the first floor of which is a budget and quality cafe, and even a revived church. 

Dairy rivers, creamy beaches 

 Agriculture has been the basis of the economy for the district since the beginning of the century. Over the past few years, the region has been striving to revive the production of agricultural products in industrial volumes. There are  a lot of places in this field, and the example of successful enterprises shows that a quality product will always find its buyer.

Own machines of Verkhny Uslon agro-firm in Russkoe Makulovo village daily take 70-80 tons of milk to the plant. Once the company purchased milk from neighboring regions, now - only in Tatarstan, good suppliers are enough. On the counters of small stores throughout the Republic, Verkhny Uslon can compete with well-known Tatarstan brands, and with products from neighboring regions. 

 A tenth of the incoming milk goes to the packaging of drinking pasteurized milk. The rest of the raw materials are separated into cream and skimmed milk (reverse). The cream is used to make butter (up to 3 tons per day). The reverse is processed into milk powder.

 - Milk with a fat content of 2.5% and 3.2% in bags - especially for the city made a branded package - we take to retail outlets in Kazan. We sell butter and milk powder in bulk to Russian producers of yogurts, cottage cheese, confectionery products, sausages in Russia, from Nizhny Novgorod, and Moscow to Kaliningrad.  Reference. Federal highway M-7 (Moscow - Nizhny Novgorod - Kazan - Ufa and highway R-241 (Kazan - Buinsk - Ulyanovsk) pass through the district. There is a ferry crossing between Kazan and Verkhny Uslon in summer and an ice one in winter. The distance from Upper Uslon to Kazan is 57 km, to Kazan International Airport - 77 km. In summer, in Upper Uslon stops "meteor". It is planned to build a cargo berth.

 Volga, wind, Velvette 

 Another historical role of the district, from the high bank of which is so great to admire the wide river, sky, panorama of Kazan, cottage, leisure. In winter, all of Kazan, as well as guests from neighboring regions come here to ski. Meanwhile, the hotel infrastructure in the area is almost undeveloped. From an innovative propeller! 

 The task of optimizing the way from the capital of Tatarstan and other settlements of Verkhneuslonsky district is solved innovatively. In spring 2019, the Special Economic Zone Innopolis and the international alliance McFly.aero agreed to jointly develop transport systems based on air cab. Bartini Design company has already presented sketches of "soaring cars". Not everybody appreciated the sensation of the event, partly because the topic of transport of the future is not new for Innopolis.
