Drozhzhanovsky District

The swampy land was sinking and rising - as if from the yeast fermenting, frightening people. But fertile soil and remoteness from major cities outweighed - the settlers remained here to live, and the yeast immortalized in the name of the settlement: in Tatar Chuprele, and Russian - Yeast.  

Sow, reap, grind! 

 The main activity of residents is agriculture. Here they grow cows, pigs, and sheep, sow wheat, rye oats, barley, buckwheat, and sugar beet with potatoes. The largest owner and investor on the local land is AK BARS Holding; it has two agricultural companies in the Drozhzhanovsky district at once. But there is also “Cilna”, which is successfully operating, and Shaimurzinskoye agricultural enterprise, as well as individual farmers and personally-owned farms, which are overwhelmingly engaged in meat and dairy production. 

The grain grown in the area goes directly to the elevator in the village of Burunduki. This is where the railway station Sviyazhsk - Buinsk - Ulyanovsk is located, and from here the harvest can be easily transported to any part of the country. 

 The railroad station and the village of Burunduki are actually outside the Drozhzhanovsky district, 6 kilometers from it. Novoburunduki settlement is the exclave of the district and is almost surrounded by the Buinsky district of the RT.

 Burundukovsky elevator - large and versatile, in addition to receiving, cleaning, drying, and storing grain, here grind flour and produce about 40 types of feed for animals and birds. And the flour of local production is already recognized outside of Tatarstan, it is produced under the brand Gosudarev Barn. Wheat, small, well-purified, of the highest grade - it is well taken and wholesale buyers (from the Yeast flour, for example, bake all the bread and pies in the largest network of mini-bakeries in the republic "Zhar-Svezhar"), and rational mistresses. Because the price is affordable, and the quality is not inferior to promoted brands. 

So far, the flour "Gosudarev barn" - only at the beginning of its journey to national fame. But it has all chances to stand in line with the largest flour brands of the country - it meets all state norms and standards, this is confirmed by an independent expert review of Roskachestvo. 

Today, the Drozhzhanovsky elevator is the only industrial enterprise of the district, and the more pleasant it is that it is so successful in the market. It means that the Yarzhzhanovites can successfully develop not only the agricultural industry but also new production facilities, including innovative ones. Here, too, the district has a huge potential, or, to be more precise, wealth, which lies literally under its feet.  

 Help Description. In Drozhzhanovsky district there are 422 small and medium business entities, 252 individual entrepreneurs, and 101 peasant farms. Only 7% of companies belong to the industrial sector, the vast majority of entrepreneurs are engaged in trade (34%), 29% - in agriculture, and 19% - in services. 

 What are the abilities of minerals  

 In the nineties of the XX century, a deposit of "intelligent minerals" - zeolites - was discovered in Drozhzhanovsky district of Tatarstan. The country was feverishly affected by the new realities of the market economy, the most important raw material was oil, all scientific resources were there, and from there all the "big money" came. Not many people knew what zeolites were and where to apply them. So, it is not surprising that the country simply did not reach the point where they were developed. Meanwhile, the discovery of the Tatar-Shatrashan and Gorodishchenskoe zeolite marl deposits was a great event.

 Zeolites are minerals with unique properties. Depending on temperature and humidity, they can give and absorb water again, and also attach, and then release molecules of different substances again. Zeolite can "absorb" up to 50% of its volume of water, and at the same time, "capture" dissolved salts and organic substances in it. 

 Scientists noticed this important property of zeolites back in the middle of the XX century. They tried to clean water with their help and were amazed by the results - zeolite filters from the first run reduced the number of hardness salts by 240 times, while the water remained fresh and tasty. The progressive technology of zeolite water purification is now applied in Moscow when purifying water from the Yenisei and Kura rivers. 

 But this is only one of the possibilities of the "XXI century mineral". Zeolites are the best "friends" of ecologists. They are used in industry to purify waste gases from oxides of sulfur, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide. They are used to extract and dispose of radionuclides from nuclear waste. Wastewater, municipal sewerage - also a place where zeolites are used.

 Zeolites are invaluable in agriculture. They are both an excellent mineral additive to animal food and an excellent remedy for disinfection and purification of animal and poultry farm effluents. Zeolites are applied in the fields as fertilizer and thus protect the soil from drought. These minerals are also good for the construction industry. For example, concrete with the addition of zeolite becomes much stronger.

That's why the development of the zeolite deposit in the Drozhzhanovsky district (and nowhere else in Tatarstan this mineral has been discovered) is a very promising project. There are a lot of opportunities for both large and small businesses. This is a long investment, which will undoubtedly bring the richest results.  

 However, there are wonderful prospects in Drozhzhany and "fast" start-ups in one of the most favorite Tatarstan industries - construction. 

  What to build in order to build?  

 Drozhzhanovsky district is surprisingly lucky. Here, on a relatively small territory are concentrated deposits of non-metallic minerals, which are used to produce almost all necessary building materials. Moreover, in such an amount that you can safely open at least four plants. 

 For example, a plant of dry building mixtures or cement - two available in the area of carbonate deposits will be enough for a solid production volume. The total volume of reserves is 57,821.25 thousand m3. Or a brick plant - there are good reserves of red clay in the villages of Old Kergali, Malaya Tsilna, Old Shaimurzino, and Alyoshkin-Saplyk. There is also light clay in the area, which is used in the production of ceramic tiles. The district authorities gave samples of rock for examination to several laboratories of world tile manufacturers - Yeast clay is suitable for the production of the highest quality materials. 

 Now all this wealth is waiting for smart and enterprising businessmen, leaders, capable of changing the environment.  The district itself has long been ready to receive investors. It has quite inexpensive free lands and industrial sites, there is an industrial park Yeast, which is included in the Investment Memorandum of the priority investment project of the Republic of Tatarstan, and thus, provides its residents low tax rates. "Drozhzhanovsky District has a unique resource base and good logistics: access to two federal highways and proximity to railroads. With the help of investment injections, an industrial and construction cluster, which is important for the republic and its neighboring regions, may grow here," said Talia Minullina, head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan. 

 The district authorities are ready to support projects at the initial stage and provide assistance in every way possible, including grants. It is just a matter of starting.
