Anhui Province and the Republic of Tatarstan: strong relations between PRC and Russia
The Chinese entrepreneurs are considering Kazan for business development in the spheres of catering and hospitality. This was reported by the representative of the chamber of Trade of Anhui Province of China Mr. Wang Jing while his visit to Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.
According to the representative of the Anhui Chamber of Commerce, Chinese businessmen were interested in establishing a site for business bilateral cooperation in Kazan. Multi-functional Chinese center in China could become such a space.
The economic potential of the republic was presented to C investors. The guests were interested in preferences for foreign investors while working in special economic zones of Tatarstan as well as the activity of large Chinese companies in Tatarstan.
It should be reminded that the turnover between Tatarstan and China in 2016 increased by 40 % and amounted to $372 million. During the first part of 2017 it increased by 75% and amounted to $280 million.
Since 2016, the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China is operating in Kazan. The Trade and Economic Representative Office of Tatarstan is operating in Beijing. In 2016, Chinese corporation «Haier» opened its factory in Naberezhnye Chelny. The company is now building the second factory in Tatarstan manufacturing washing machines. By 2019, a Chinese investor will also build an industrial park in Tatarstan.
In 2016, the fertilizer plant «Ammoni» was launched in Mendeleevsk constructed by the Chinese National Chemical Engineering Corporation (CNCEC).
In September 2017, the Second meeting of the Subcommittee on cooperation in the field of industry of Russian-Chinese Committee for Preparing of Regular Meetings of Government with participation of Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov and Minister of Industry and Information Technology of China Miao Wei was held in Kazan. The Russian-Chinese Congress of Young businessmen was also held in the capital of Tatarstan.
