"Chemical-industrial technopark "CHIRCHIQ" is a key project of cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan"
As part of the INNOPROM 2022 forum, which is currently taking place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, a business tour to Chirchik was organized for high-ranking guests from several countries. The Republic of Tatarstan within the framework of this tour was represented by acting. head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic Insaf Galiev. The purpose of the tour was to visit the chemical-industrial technopark "Chirchik". The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited this technopark on an official visit to the opening ceremony in March of this year.
Thus, within the framework of the visit to the new joint technopark "Chirchik" and "Khimgrad", the guests were inspected the production facilities and got acquainted with the products of the first residents. In total, at the moment, 6 residents work in this Uzbek technopark, three of which are from the Republic of Tatarstan. As a result of the tour, a meeting was held on the activities and plans for the further work of the industrial park with the participation of the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, the Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov, the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Vagan Kerobyan, the Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev , Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan Sherali Kabir.
“Chemical-industrial technopark “Chirchik” is a key project of cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan. We plan to expand such interaction. We have indeed turned out to be the flagship of industrial cooperation between the two countries,” the speakers noted at the meeting.
Recall that in 2018, preparatory work began on the creation of an industrial park in the Tashkent region of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In 2021, during a visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, a decision was made to create an industrial park in the city of Chirchik on the basis of the unused buildings of JSC Uzbek Combine of Refractory and Heat-Resistant Metals and JSC Maxam-Chirchik.
