Valentina Matvienko: "Tatarstan is a leading region in many areas»

On December 10-11, the Days of the Republic of Tatarstan were held in the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly. The Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina paid a working visit to Moscow as a part of the official delegation headed by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

On December 10, the extended meeting of the Committees of the Federation Council with the participation of the representatives of state authorities of Tatarstan took place. 

Thus, in the Committee on budget and financial markets, the issues of budgets balance of the Russian entities were discussed on the example of the republic.

The Committee on federative structure, regional policy, local self-management and Northern affairs held a meeting on the direct participation of citizens in solving issues of local importance using the self-taxation mechanism.

The issues of strategic development and priority projects in the economy of the Republic of Tatarstan were raised in the Committee on economic policy.

One of the most important indicators of the region's welfare - the investment climate of our republic - was presented by the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina.

"Tatarstan is one of the most developed regions in Russia. Days of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Federation Council is an important tool for raising topical issues and making decisions at the Federal level, which will contribute to the further prosperity of our Republic and the country as a whole", - Taliya Minullina shared.

The issues of social and economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan were discussed on December 11 in the frames of "The Hour of the Entity of the Russian Federation". The Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko in her speech noted that Tatarstan is one of the most successful regions of Russia, and the key to success lies in constructive work of every citizen of the republic.

"Tatarstan is a leading region in many areas. The region has an extensive infrastructure to support innovative activity. A powerful impetus to the high-tech development of the region is given by the special economic zone "Alabuga", which is included in the global rating of the best economic zones in the world.

One of the largest petrochemical companies in Europe is successfully operating in the republic. It produces almost half of Russia's heavy trucks, every third warship, as well as strategic bombers of the latest generation.

One of the most famous "Business cards" of Tatarstan and the whole Russia is the legendary "KAMAZ" company, which will celebrate it's half century anniversary next year.

Tatarstan is consistently among the most attractive regions for investment. Recently, Tatarstan Investment Development Agency was recognized as one of the best in the world by the United Nations Organization", - Valentina Matvienko indicated and presented the highest award of the Federal Council - Federal Council Plague of Merit for Parliamentarism Development" - to Rustam Minnikhanov. The Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin also received gratitude from the Chairman of the Federal Council.

In addition, Valentina Matvienko got acquainted to the exposition of the Republic of Tatarstan and considered it to be one of the best in the history of the Days of Entities of the Russian Federation
