«Three brilliants» of Japanese industry

On 22 September, the meeting with the representatives of «Mitsubishi» company took place in Tatarstan Government House. Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina took part in the meeting.

Mitsubishi is world’s largest holding, including over 50 companies working in such spheres as automotive industry, heavy machinery, electronics, energy, oil and gas sector, pharmaceutics, chemical industry, shipbuilding and many others.

During the meeting, the key elements of the strategy aimed at have been submitted to the representatives of Japanese business.

It is worth mentioning, that the appointment of Japanese delegation is the continuation of series of official visits in the Republic of Tatarstan. Therefore, the VI session of Russia-Japan Advisory Council on Modernization of the Russian economy with the participation of the President of Tatarstan, Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Mr. Stanislav Voskresensky, the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, Ms. Taliya Minullina and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan to the Russian Federation Mr. Toyohisa Kozuki was held earlier this month. A month earlier, business mission of representatives from 24 leading Japanese enterprises, the Government of Japan and Embassy of Japan in Russian Federation with the Minister of Economic Department and Advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan was held.

It should be mentioned, Tatarstan actively develops cooperation with «Mitsubishi» holding. During 2011-2015 Japanese companies «Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.» and «Sojitz Corporation» under the contract signed in 2010 took part in the project of building of the plant «Ammoni», that produces ammonia, methanol and granulated urea in Mendeleyevsky District in the Republic of Tatarstan. One of collaborative projects is manufacturing of medium trucks by Public Company «KAMAZ» and Mitsubishi FUSO, with the output of 4 100 vehicles per year.

A number of successful Russian-Japanese projects is implemented in Tatarstan. We highly appreciate partnership between Tatarstan and Japan. The name of the company Mitsubishi in translation from Japanese means «three diamonds». The visit of the delegation from Japan is the gemstone which we will place in our jewelery named Partnership, since we began the discussion of a new investment project» — the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Ms. Taliya Minullina stated.
