The Republic of Burundi is interested in import of Tatarstan's vehicles

The leadership of Burundi is interested in importing the products of Tatarstan's industrial enterprises into the country. This was reported by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Burundi, Mr. Edouard Bizimana during his visit to Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.

The guest noted that the African republic required the cars and trucks produced in Tatarstan, with characteristics suitable for the movement and cargo transportation in geo-climatic conditions of Burundi. Also, according to Mr. Bizimana, the country intended to collaborate with Tatarstan on energy supplies.

The Republic of Burundi is a country in eastern Africa. The population is about 8 million people. Export of coffee, tea, cotton and other agricultural products are a significant part of the economy.

The cooperation with Burundi will allow Tatarstan to open new export markets in East and South-East Africa.

Let us recall, that in the frames of the official visit to Russia in June 2017, Second Vice-President of Burundi Joseph Butore visited Kazan and Tatarstan Investment Development Agency.
