The Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan visited Tatarstan
The delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, headed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the country Gulomzhon Ibragimov is visiting Tatarstan in the framework of the working visit on October 10-11.
The Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina presented to the guests investment potential of the republic, told about the structure of region’s economy, the work of the Agency on attracting investors to Tatarstan.
Foreign trade turnover between Tatarstan and Uzbekistan in the first half of 2017 totaled $53,3 million.
In September, during a visit of Tatarstan’s President Rustam Minnikhanov to Tashkent and his meeting with Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev it was announced about the decision to sum up intermediate results of joint work on trade and economic cooperation once a quarter. Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov mentioned that Uzbekistan’s enterprises are planning to expand supplies of cars, textiles, leather and footwear products, electrical and mechanical equipment, construction materials, food products to Tatarstan.
Uzbekistan is interested in the supply of electrical equipment, petrochemical products, wood, paper, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment and other goods from Tatarstan.
Five memorandums on cooperation were signed between industrial and energetic companies of Tatarstan and Uzbekistan.
During the current visit, the delegation of Uzbekistan will visit Kazan IT-park, the Center of medical science «Eidos», Kazan Helicopter plant, «TAIF», «Tatneft-Arena». The delegation will also visit SEZ «Alabuga», «Kamaz», «TANEKO» and Nizhnekamsk tire factory.
