  In 2018, special economic zone "Alabuga" (Elabuga region of Tatarstan) was recognized as the best SEZ of Russia according to the National rating of investment attractiveness. Moreover, for the fourth time "Alabuga" is in the world rating of special economic zones "Global Free Zones of the Year" of "fDi Intelligence" magazine, which is a part of Financial Times group. Thus, "Alabuga" was awarded for the implementation of the project of the new Rockwool production line for the production of substrates for plants.

  "Alabuga" provides investors with complete industrial, engineering, transport and customs infrastructure, as well as a number of tax and customs preferences.

  According to federal legislation, investors are permitted to import raw materials, equipment, and components to the Alabuga SEZ duty free.

  Thus, in 2018, "Alabuga" attracted 13,9 billion rubles of investment. 8 new plants launched the production on the territory of SEZ. To date, "Alabuga" is 30 plants, 57 registered residents, the amount of their investments is 120 billion rubles. 50 percent of the revenue of all residents of the Russian SEZ and 39 percent of the investment represents SEZ "Alabuga". According to the results of the report of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, "Alabuga" is one of the three special economic zones with a hundred percent efficiency.

• In 2018, 8 new enterprises launched their production in the SEZ "Alabuga": plant for the production of steel blank for the automobile industry LLC "MMK-Coskunoz-Alabuga", enterprise - leader in production of flexible packaging materials LLC "Danaflex-Alabuga", LLC "SMITH" (tube manufacturing), enterprise for the production of transportation on the chassis "Ford", "ST Alabuga", project for the production of toners of JSC "Rostoner", "Russian Wax" company and "Allied Mineral Products Rus". In addition, the first Russian line for the production of substrates for plants "Grodan" was launched at the "Rockwool" plant site. 

• The project "GEMONT МЕТАLL" differs from other new residents, it is planned to invest almost 13,67 billion rubles in the creation of a complex for the production of cold-rolled sheet metal. 

• What to expect?

  Start of factories of three residents is planned for 2019. The strategic task of "Alabuga" for the next 3 years is the creation of three new sites on the territory of Tatarstan, within five years – ten sites throughout Russia.
