China-Tatarstan cooperation was discussed in Kazan Kremlin

Today, the Kazan Kremlin held the meeting of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with Acting Consul General — Deputy Consul General of China in Kazan, Mr. Cheng Wei. The Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina also took part in the meeting.

In the framework of the meeting, the parties discussed the topical issues of trade-economic partnership, as well as the promotion of joint-projects.

Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated Mr. Cheng Wei on the occasion of beginning his diplomatic mission and expressed confidence that his work in this position will contribute to further strengthening of Tatarstan-Chinese cooperation in the framework of friendly Russian-Chinese relations.

It should be reminded that in October this year, China Consulate General in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan officially started its work.

"The President instructed us to find land acquisition for a new Consulate. The opening of a Chinese Consulate will have a positive impact on the investment cooperation", — the Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina pointed out.
